ABC has finally announced the Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23″ premiere date at the Winter Upfronts. The show premieres on April 11 at 9:30 after Modern Family!

For now it doesn’t look like any of the cast members were at the event. If pictures do show up I’ll be sure to post them.

Edit: From additional tweets by TV Guide we now know that James van der Beek is at the event but no word on Dreama or Krysten Ritter.

Edit 2: Dreama and Krysten Ritter are both there as well! Pictures will follow once they are released.

As is custom every year there will be a Winter Press Tour promoting new television shows and ABC is taking part it in again (they did not hold panels with cast members for every show during the Fall Press Tour).

Please note that it is currently unknown if cast members will take part in any of the sessions but the session for Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 will take place on January 10th at 10am.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Dreama will be in attendance and we’ll get some new pictures of her!

ABC has released their midseason schedule yesterday and strangely enough Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, Cougar Town and Scandal are missing from the lineup.

Originally planned for a January 3rd premiere date it seems ABC has changed their plans and the shows will not air as a midseason series. Some are speculating that the shows will take the place of ones that may be cancelled but nothing is certain at the moment.

Let’s hope ABC changes their minds and puts Apartment 23 on the schedule soon!

Saturday Night Live veteran Nora Dunn is stopping by ABC’s Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.

Dunn will play tough financial businesswoman Joyce Barron who hires Apartment 23 star Dreama Walker’s character June as her intern. Dunn’s ultra demanding boss “sleeps standing up, like a cow” and June struggles to live up to her expectations.

Thanks to my friend Roberta I was able to add 12 HQ pictures of Dreama filming Apartment 23 on October 22 and thanks to Kelly we have a scan of Dreama in the Entertainment Weekly November 4 issue. It’s only a small blurb, unfortunately, but hopefully this means more Dreama in magazines in the future!

Thomas Lennon and Bruce Davison have signed up for guest roles in Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.

The mid-season comedy will focus on June (Dreama Walker), a naive girl who relocates to New York and moves in with a nightmare roommate (Krysten Ritter).

Eager to get back into the world of finance after losing her job on Wall Street, June will reach out to a stockbroker (Lennon), according to TV Guide.

However, when Ritter’s Chloe ruins their relationship by sleeping with him, June will be forced to turn to the stockbroker’s dad (Davison).

ABC’s Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 doesn’t premiere until midseason but the show has already garnered buzz for star James Van Der Beek’s comedic portrayal of himself (the series is about two girls who live in an apartment building with the Beek as their neighbor). Now, the former Dawson’s Creek actor is going to have some other ’90s stars to contend with on the sitcom: EW has exclusively learned that Kevin Sorbo (Hercules) and Dean Cain (Lois & Clark) will both appear on separate episodes of the comedy, portraying themselves. Sorbo will be tricked into being a wedding date for one of the roommates, Chloe (Krysten Ritter), while Cain will show up as Van Der Beek’s rival.

The ‘Bitch’ is back.

After ABC changed a new show’s mildly profane title during development, upcoming comedy Apartment 23 has now more-or-less reverted to its original head-turning name.

The official new title of the show is Don’t Trust The B—- in Apartment 23, dashing out the letters of the curse in an attempt to soften its impact (not entirely unlike how CBS solved buying short-lived Shit My Dad Says last season, substituting the non-word “$#*!”). The Disney-owned network has two upcoming shows that previously used the word “bitch” in their title — Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23 and drama Good Christian Bitches. The former was shorted to Apartment 23 right before the network’s broadcast upfront presentation in May. The latter was change to Good Christian Belles, and was then changed again to GCB. (Good Christian Bitches, in particular, was singled out by some culture critics who were ready to pounce on the show should it hit the air with its original title).

In the case of Apartment 23, the new title was rather anonymous; it didn’t tell you anything about the show. The new version more clearly suggests the show’s premise — about a naive midwesterner (Dreama Walker) who moves in with a hardcore party girl (Krysten Ritter). And given that CBS’ 2 Broke Girls and Fox’s New Girl have successfully launched girl-with-new-roommate(s)-in-the-big-city premises this fall, the cleverly written Apartment 23 might likewise pop for viewers. The show does not yet have a premiere date, but is expected to debut sometime this season.

Thanks to Stephanie I was able to replace the rest of the Apartment 23 episode stills and two promotional pictures with HQs. And additionally I have added two more HQs of Dreama at the 2011 Entertainment Weekly And Women In Film Pre-Emmy Party.
